Bill Murray’s Food Truck Hub Is Finally Ready to Go

What to expect

Container Bar-Charleston/Facebook

Once dubbed Food Truck-O-Rama, food truck hub Container Bar opened for business yesterday at 2130 Mount Pleasant St. And, yes, Bill Murray is a part of it. The same team that brought Rutledge Cab Co. to fruition is the group behind Container Bar — this includes Murray, Brad Creger, and co-owner of the Charleston RiverDogs Mike Veeck.

How does it work? Area food trucks are invited to plug in at the establishment, and patrons have access to seating and, soon, a bar (no liquor license yet). There are plans for live music as well.

The trucks begin serving at 11 a.m. Today, there’s lunch options from Brava Bowls Acai and Root Note Food, and dinner from Cast Iron, Roti Rolls, and Bearded Dog.

Facebook and Instagram seem the best way to keep up with the daily offerings at Container Bar.

No word yet of any Bill Murray sightings in the area.
