The third addition to the Husk empire may open before the end of fall in Savannah. Recently, there’s been a flurry of activity from the Husk Savannah Instagram account, with requests for applications for a chef de cuisine and a general manager. The Husk Greenville account hasn’t posted since March. Which city will get a taste of Brock first?
In 2016, celebrity chef Sean Brock and Neighborhood Dining Group (NDG) president David Howard announced they would will open a Husk on Main Street in Greenville, South Carolina in the fall and a fourth version of the eatery in Savannah in 2017. Now it sounds like the Georgia store might be first.
Savannah television personality Jesse Blanco kept a careful eye on 12 West Oglethorpe St., site of the Husk expansion, for signs of progress. When the project seemed to stall, Blanco questioned if Brock and company would ever open. In March, NDG assured him that the Savannah Husk would open in fall 2017 and that the Greenville property was taking longer than expected.
