Mash, the bar component of upcoming Mercantile and Mash, opens Thursday, September 24, at 4:00 p.m. The 1,700 square foot space includes an indoor bocce court, vintage arcade games, and a booze menu from bar managers Jeremiah Schenzel (of Cocktail Club) and Teddy Nixon (formerly of Edmund's Oast).
Mash shared the curated cocktail selections with Eater, and most notable to anyone from Charleston is the inclusion of the St. Cecilia Society Punch. This concoction is the first recipe in Charleston Receipts and comes from the ultra-exclusive social club St. Cecilia Society. The beverage is supposedly served at the "famously private" organization's debutante balls — or at least it was in the 18th century.
